The battle against illegal drugs continues to rage in Louisiana. Law enforcement officers are working tirelessly to attempt to stem the tide of illegal drugs. As the result of a recent investigation by the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office, a shipment of illegal drugs was reportedly intercepted. Based on information received in the course of the investigation, the sheriff’s office arrested two suspects. The two were charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics. One of the suspects also faces charges for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute.

The intercepted drug shipment included significant amounts of cocaine, marijuana, Xanax pills and hydrocodone pills. According to the sheriff’s office, more arrests may be imminent. The street value of the drugs is not known.
