Three people have been charged with a crime after a fire in a Louisiana apartment complex led them to the body of a 32-year-old woman. The woman had recently moved to the area in an attempt to start a new beginning but an alleged robbery and homicide may have cut her life short. The individuals were charged with a crime after police believe that the woman was robbed and the fire started to cover up the murder.

Louisiana police have arrested three individuals, ages 17, 19 and 21, in connection to the crime and have charged them all with first-degree homicide. Police believe that the woman was robbed and murdered on Feb. 22. The fire occurred the next morning, and police think the suspects started the blaze as a way to cover up evidence of the homicide.

The woman had just moved to Louisiana a few weeks prior to the crime. Although this was a serious incident in which a woman tragically lost her life, the three people charged with a crime are innocent until proven guilty. While prosecutors are under pressure to ensure convictions in these types of cases, they are still required to prove that the people involved in this case have actually committed the crime.

A conviction for these charges could bring significant jail time. The individuals accused in this matter may wish to speak with someone knowledgeable in criminal defense so they are aware of all their rights after being charged with a crime. All three of the accused individuals will likely require a strong criminal defense as they seek to obtain a favorable outcome in this case.
